
DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Thousands of people lost power for several hours Tuesday morning near downtown Durham.
According to the Duke Energy power outage map, the outage was first reported by 5:30 a.m. Over 2,000 customers were impacted across several areas near Durham's city center and Durham Central Park

Traffic lights at the intersection of Dillard and Roxboro streets went out.
The outage was caused by fallen trees and limbs damaging equipment. Duke Energy restored power around 8:15 a.m.
