
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Cumberland County deputies are investigating after a man was shot and killed on Friday afternoon.
It happened around 3:05 p.m. in the 100 block of Jacklyn Road in Fayetteville.
A man with a gunshot wound was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
The sheriff's office said the shooting did not appear to be a random incident, and there was no ongoing threat to the public.
