Fayetteville public works art exhibition celebrates 21 years

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Fayetteville Public Works Commission is celebrating 21 years of community partnership through the annual Public Works Art Exhibition.

Presented in collaboration with the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County, the free exhibition showcases artwork from local artists and highlights the connection between art, community, and public service.

An opening reception will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday.

"PWC is proud to partner with the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County for the 21st year, hosting the Public Works Art Exhibition," said Tyler C. Patton, Chief Communications & Community Relations Officer for PWC. "This event reflects what makes this community special, the creativity and pride in where we live. This exhibition highlights the powerful connection between public service and creative expression."

Artists are encouraged to submit artwork through the Arts Council website. Residents can vote for their favorite piece through the People's Choice Award.

The exhibition will be on display through July 5 at the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County, 301 Hay St.

Admission is free and open to the public.
