MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Morrisville elementary school is back to normal after a brief evacuation because of a mechanical issue.
Around 10:15 a.m., a strong odor, resembling a potential electrical fire, was detected at Cedar Fork Elementary School.
School officials immediately called 911. Chopper 11 was over the scene as students were safely evacuated to the soccer field.

Morrisville fire rescue crews determined a mechanical issue with a air handler to be the source of the problem.
Wake County Public School Systems sent out a message to parents and said no one was hurt. Classes have since resumed as normal.
