FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A current Harnett County deputy and former officer of the Dunn Police Department is accused of posing as a veteran to get a $12.60 discount from Buckle at the Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville.

Jenny Lou Dixon, 44, was arrested Friday.

She faces two felony counts of identity theft and obtaining property through a false pretense.

Dixon was placed on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of an internal investigation into the charges.

Dixon's arrest warrant accuses her of using the identifying information and email address of Jeannie Dixon to fraudulently represent she was Jeannie Dixon to obtain her reward points which had a store military discount on it.

She is due back in Cumberland County District Court for a hearing on Dec. 23.
