
CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Cary Police Department is investigating a case of vandalism at the Hindu temple in the city.
On Sunday, Jan. 18, suspects vandalized the Sri Venkateswara of North Carolina, Cary police say. The incident happened around 3:00 a.m.
A video from the temple shows at least five individuals running to a car and then speeding away from the scene. Police said the car is a small sedan. Shortly after, the possible suspects were seen running away, and the Dvarapalaka statue in front of the temple was discovered damaged.

Detectives are working to identify the individuals involved and they're asking the public for help. They're also investigating the circumstances surrounding the damage.
