Durham man dies after being found with gunshot wound, police say
DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man was shot and killed Wednesday morning in Durham, police said.
Around 9:40 a.m., officers responded to North Miami Boulevard near Little Caesars Pizza and found a man with a gunshot wound. He was identified as Abdul-Jalil Burnette, 28, of Durham.
Police say Burnette was taken to a hospital, where he died.
Authorities told ABC11 News that the suspect ran in an unknown direction before responding officers arrived on the scene.
Officers are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the deadly shooting.
Traffic Alert: The area between Raynor Street and North Miami Boulevard will be closed until further notice.
