DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- The grandson of former Duke men's basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski appeared in court Tuesday after being charged in a deadly April crash that killed a 15-year-old boy.

Joseph Savarino is charged with felony death by motor vehicle, involuntary manslaughter and failure to reduce speed. He was released on a $50,000 bond.

Savarino was initially charged with driving while impaired following the April crash. Court records previously showed his blood alcohol content was above the legal limit hours after the collision.

According to Durham Police, Savarino was driving on Cole Mill Road when Jack O'Shea, who was riding an e-bike in the same direction, moved into his path. The collision was fatal, and Jack died at the scene.
