Juvenile injured in shooting at Raleigh apartment complex, police say

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Police are investigating a shooting that left a juvenile wounded overnight at a north Raleigh apartment complex.

Officers were called to the Litchford 315 Apartments just after midnight after reports of a person who had been shot. Eyewitness News was on the scene as first responders treated the victim.

Police say the victim is under the age of 18. That person was taken from the scene by ambulance to a local hospital.

Authorities say the victim is expected to recover. No additional details about a suspect or circumstances leading up to the shooting were immediately released.

The investigation remains ongoing.
