Lexington police officer dead in apparent domestic incident

LEXINGTON, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Lexington police officer is dead after what appears to be a domestic incident.

Kaitlin Crook was off duty when the department says she was fatally shot.

The incident happened last night at the retail store Home and Appliance King.

When first responders arrived on the scene they also found two men shot.

Kaitlin's estranged husband, Zachary Rogers, who is also a Lexington firefighter, is in critical condition.

A gun found at the scene is believed to be Rogers'.

The other man is identified as Joshua Moore who is believed to be Kaitlin's current boyfriend.
