Knightdale Arts and Education Festival helps families prepare for school year

KNIGHTDALE, N.C. (WTVD) -- Knightdale's Annual Arts and Education Festival returned Saturday as families prepared for the start of the new school year.

The event was held at Knightdale Station Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and gave community members an opportunity to connect with local nonprofits and explore educational, wellness and cultural arts resources.

The festival also featured a school supply giveaway, inflatables, free haircuts, food trucks, a live DJ and other family-friendly activities.

Organizers said the event's mission is to connect residents with educational, wellness and cultural arts opportunities that they may not otherwise have access to.
