Luda gets the UNC Chapel Thrill crowd hyped before the Clemson game

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- Ludacris pumped up the crowd Saturday morning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The school announced his appearance in September.

The free concert was in front of the Wilson Library on campus.

It's part of the university's Chapel Thrill GameDay Concert Series that started last year ahead of home football games. The Rams Club is the series sponsor, according to UNC.

Ludacris, sporting a Julius Peppers jersey, hit the stage at 10:00 a.m. After dropping a few bars, he told the Chapel Thrill crowd they were now part of his history as the earliest show that he's done in his entire life.

Ludacris helped promote the appearance on his social media that the school shared earlier this week.

He told the crowd that he's celebrating 25 years of being in the music industry.

"I'mma tell you like this man, when I say we've been doing this since 2000, we're celebrating 25 years in the music industry, ladies and gentlemen," Ludacris said to the crowd.

He told the crowd that he's celebrating 25 years of being in the music industry.

Ludacris has sold over 24 million albums worldwide, and his popular songs include "Stand Up," "Get Back," "Southern Hospitality," "Number One Spot," "Money Maker," and "My Chick Bad."

He also appears as Tej in Universal Pictures' Fast & Furious franchise. Ludacris will reprise his role for the eighth time in "Fast X: Part 2," which will be released in 2027.
