Man facing multiple charges in connection with sexual assault in Wake County

WENDELL, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man is facing multiple charges in connection with a sexual assault in Wake County.

According to the sheriff's office, on Aug. 22, deputies received reports from the Garner Police Department about a sexual assault in the 3300 block of Alfreda Court, near Wendell.

Authorities said 20-year-old Karaah Blount was charged with first-degree forcible rape, assault on a female, assault by strangulation, and misdemeanor crime of domestic violence in connection with the investigation..

Blount was taken into custody and is being held at the Wake County Detention Center without bond.
