Man shot while breaking into Raleigh home, police say

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Police are investigating an attempted burglary in southeast Raleigh.

Authorities said a man tried to forcibly enter a home in the 1600 block of Rose Lane, but was shot during the incident.

It remains unclear whether the occupants of the home were involved in the altercation.

The suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment, and the investigation is ongoing.
