Market on Market Street opens in downtown Durham with new retail incubator

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- After months of planning, interviews, renovations and preparations, Market on Market Street has officially opened its doors.

This is an all-new way to do business in Durham.

Market on Market Street is a new retail incubator space that aims to make owning a retail space in downtown Durham affordable and accessible to everyone.

There are three new shops to start, and business owners say they are thankful for the opportunity.

Selected businesses receive a yearlong lease and hands-on coaching.
