One person killed in Zebulon house fire

ZEBULON, N.C. (WTVD) -- One person was killed in a house fire that broke out Tuesday morning.

The Rolesville Fire Department was sent to 7520 Mitchell Mill Road in Zebulon at 10:06 a.m., in response to a three-alarm fire.

When crews arrived, they found the fire still going in a single-story home.

Several agencies responded to the scene to help battle the flames.

Firefighters found one person dead in the home. No one else was inside the home at the time.

A cause of the fire is still being investigated.
