Multiple dogs killed in Sampson County home fire

GODWIN, N.C. (WTVD) -- In Sampson County, a mobile home fire left multiple dogs dead.

It happened in the 1200 block of Clayton Road in Godwin around 12:45 p.m.

It's still unclear how the fire started or exactly how many dogs were inside the home at the time.

Clement Fire Rescue and other departments responded to the fire.

The Sampson County Fire Marshal is working to determine the cause of the fire.
