Woman walks into Durham convenience store with gunshot, asks clerk to call 911

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Durham County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that happened Friday afternoon.

According to the sheriff's office, a woman walked into a convenience store on East Club Blvd and asked the clerk to call 911 because she had been shot.

Deputies and EMS responded to the store. The woman was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff's office says.

Officers are still on the scene investigating the shooting.
