CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Chapel Hill Police Department is set to open the doors to its brand new headquarters to the public at the end of the month.
The Town of Chapel Hill said the new location will open on Millhouse Road, as the department's longtime home at 828 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd closes.
"At our new headquarters, we're thrilled to offer the same services our community members have come to know over the years at our Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. home," said Chief Celisa Lehew. "Our new location is a vibrant, much more welcoming space, and we're so excited for our community to visit a facility that better meets their needs."

An open house will also be held to allow community members to explore the new facility and learn about the services offered on Nov. 13 from 2 to 4 p.m.
The town said the new facility will also house its Technology Solutions Department and the Office of Emergency Preparedness and Risk Management.
