RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services launched a new virtual therapy tool to help teens who have been in juvenile detention centers.

It also helps those who may have experienced trauma and substance use.

The two-year program will serve as many as 20,000 youth impacted by the legal system.

The HHS secretary released a statement saying quote "there is an urgent need for youth-focused solutions to help young people involved in the justice system get the care they need so they can thrive in their homes and communities."
