Pedestrian hit and killed on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A pedestrian was killed Friday night after being hit by a car, Raleigh Police said.

It happened around 9 p.m. on New Bern Avenue near Shanta Drive.

The road remains closed while police investigate.

No other details were immediately available.
