Body of man found in Person County lake

PERSON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Person County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a body was found in a lake Saturday morning.

According to the sheriff's office, a man's body was found in Mayo Lake near a bridge on NC Highway 49.

The man's identity has not been released.
