Pink Pump Breast Cancer Foundation hosts 2 inspiring events in Durham

DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Pink Pump Breast Cancer Foundation invites the community to two supporting events taking place in Durham -- the 50 Shades of Pink Masquerade Gala and the Community Cancer Awareness Walk.

The celebration begins on Saturday, Oct. 25, with the masquerade gala, held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the DoubleTree in Durham.

The evening features live entertainment, speakers, and a dinner dedicated to celebrating survivors, honoring warriors, and raising awareness in the ongoing fight against breast cancer.

A week later, the momentum continues with the Annual Community Cancer Awareness Walk on Saturday, Nov. 1, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Historic Durham Athletic Park. 500 W. Corporation St.

This family-friendly event will include on-site health resources, including mammograms and a blood drive in partnership with The Blood Connection. Attendees can also enjoy food trucks, vendors, and entertainment throughout the afternoon.

For more information on these events, visit the Pink Pump Breast Cancer Foundation's website or follow IT on social media for updates and registration details.
