PITTSBORO, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Chatham County Sheriff's Office released new information on Friday about a death investigation in Pittsboro that stretched into Kentucky.
It now appears to be an act of domestic violence that culminated in a murder-suicide.
Deputies responded Thursday morning to a home in the 400 block of Forest Creek Drive. The Sheriff's Office said it was coordinating with police in Florence, Kentucky, as part of the investigation.
On Friday, the sheriff's office said they went to the home after someone claiming to live there called Chatham County 911 to say he had killed his wife.

The sheriff's office said that man was Andre Landon Hill, 55, of the Forest Creek Drive home.
When deputies arrived at the home, they found the body of his wife, Shannon Lee Bailey-Hill, 52. Investigators suspected that Andre Hill was in Kentucky and contacted police in Florence.
Later Thursday, Florence investigators found the body of Andre Hill. The sheriff's office did not say where his body was located.
Investigators said the deaths "appear consistent" with a murder-suicide, though the investigation remains active.
