First responders offered jurors a firsthand account Thursday of what they found after Lindsay Clancy killed her three children and tried to end her life.
The couple, who owned at least two El Charro Grande restaurants, were well-known in the community.
Investigators said the deaths "appear consistent" with a murder-suicide, though the investigation remains active.
"She was the light in every room; she was such a positive person."
"She says her address. She says he has a gun. And that's literally all she was able to say."
The woman who was killed in the Durham shooting was a student at North Carolina Central University, studying social work.
