2023 Raleigh Christmas Parade rings in start of holiday shopping season

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- The 2023 Raleigh Christmas Parade went off without a hitch, ushering in the official start of the holiday shopping season in Raleigh.

The parade began with a special holiday performance by American Idol Finalist Huntergirl.

After that the bands, dancers, animals, giant balloons and much more followed.

The big man himself -- SANTA -- closed out the parade in style.

The appearance by Mr. and Mrs. Claus capped off the 2023 parade.
