Caterpillar hosts media event as it ramps up hiring in Sanford
SANFORD, N.C. (WTVD) -- Caterpillar Inc. is hosting an event in Sanford this week to highlight its plans to hire 600 production workers and to showcase the people and processes behind its operations.
The event will take place Wednesday, May 13 at 10 a.m. at the Caterpillar Sanford Facility and will offer a visually compelling, behindthescenes tour of the company's manufacturing operations and the workforce supporting customers around the world.
Long pants and flat, closedtoe shoes are required.
Media teams will have the opportunity to interview facility leadership and employees, learn about available production roles and career pathways, and gain rare behindthescenes access to manufacturing operations. Media outlets are encouraged to RSVP in advance.
Visitors should park in the designated visitor area and check in at the security guard post with a valid ID to receive a visitor badge. After checkin, security will provide instructions on where to go next.
