WILSON, N.C. (WTVD) -- New charges were filed Thursday in connection with the Wilson courthouse shooting.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation charged Abdul Karim Fadil Mustafa with four counts of attempted murder and two counts of shooting into an occupied vehicle.
This came after what authorities call a gunfight between Mustafa and law enforcement officers on Monday.

Arrest warrants allege that Mustafa fired into a Wilson Police patrol vehicle with an officer inside.
Mustafa was given no bond on the state charges and is scheduled to appear in court for them on Friday.
He's also facing charges filed by the sheriff's office, accused of shooting a police officer, a deputy, and a 19-year-old woman, LaToya Lucas.

Investigators said they believe she was shot in retaliation for the shooting death of a teenager.
Mustafa's latest charges came a day after two other people, 28-year-old Terrie Lorenzo Covington and 18-year-old Ja'lexis Arshae Applewhite, were charged with accessory in the shooting.
