10-year-old faces murder charge in baby girl's shooting death, police say

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- A 7-month-old girl was killed following a shooting in St. Louis on Friday, according to police.

The shooting happened in the 8400 block of N. Broadway in North City around 4 p.m. when police say they were called for reports of a shooting.

When police arrived, they said they found a 7-month-old baby girl with a gunshot wound. She was rushed to the hospital, where she died.

She was identified as Kiyomi Parker by St. Louis Metropolitan police.

Now, police say a 10-year-old boy was charged with first degree murder.

Police said he was taken into custody the day of the shooting.

A 19-year-old man was also arrested and is expected to face gun charges connected to the shooting.
