RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man and a woman were arrested Tuesday following a chase in Wake County.

The incident began at 11:30 a.m. when a deputy attempted to stop a car with expired registration tags on Hillsborough Street near Singleton Street.

The chase continued to Buck Jones Road, Dana Drive, and Jeffries Street before ending when the driver crashed into an uninvolved vehicle. Both the driver, a man, and the passenger, a woman, ran from the car but were apprehended shortly after.

Charges are pending for the driver, and deputies later discovered both individuals had outstanding warrants, which have now been served.

No serious injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing with no further details available at this time.
