
WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A woman has died after a Wake County shooting on Thursday, the sheriff's office said.
It happened around 11 a.m. in the 3000 block of Avery Street.
Deputies found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She later died from her injuries.
The victim was identified as 19-year-old Jennifer Sanchez Solis.

WCSO said late Thursday night that a man has been arrested in Georgia in connection with this shooting.
Ricardo Gonzalez Maldonado, 28, was charged with first-degree murder. Maldonado was taken into custody by the Georgia State Patrol around 9 p.m.
The sheriff's office said Maldonado and the victim knew each other.
"We extend our heartfelt condolences to Jennifer Sanchez Solis' loved ones and all those impacted," Sheriff Willie Rowe said. "Our investigators worked diligently to identify and locate the suspect, and our community is safer because of it. We are thankful for the collaboration of our law enforcement counterparts that helped make this arrest possible."
