
RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A driver was charged after his car crashed into a Wake County Sheriff's Office transport van on Monday.
The crash happened just before 1 p.m. at Hammond Road and Rush Street.
Two detention officers and 11 inmates were in the van at the time of the crash.
The driver of the car, Andrew Wofford, 45, was charged with careless and reckless driving, driving left of center, and failure to reduce speed.
One detention officer, the inmates, and a passenger in the car were all taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Wofford and the detention officer driving the van were not injured.
Raleigh police officers are investigating the incident.
