Arrest made in Wake County shooting that left man seriously injured

Man seriously injured; Wake County deputies investigating shooting

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Wake County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in a shooting that left a man seriously injured.

Deputies responded to a shooting call around 12:30 a.m. Monday in the 6100 block of Horseshoe Drive. The victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Later Monday, deputies arrested Kelvin Rivera-Bonilla, 31.

He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and assault with a deadly weapon with minors present.

The incident remains under investigation. No other details were immediately released.
