Officers responded just before midnight Friday to a crash at Raeford Road and the I-295 south entrance ramp, authorities said.

Investigators reported that a 2013 Dodge Charger was speeding eastbound on Raeford Road when the driver failed to make a right turn onto the ramp. The driver, 36-year-old Tyronesha Shanae Sherlock-Benton of Fayetteville, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the vehicle, 26-year-old Mikayla Love Langhirt, was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and is listed in stable condition.
