Watch: Violent purse snatching caught on camera

SANDUSKY, Ohio (WTVD) -- Video from a CVS pharmacy in Sandusky, Ohio shows a woman being violently attacked for her purse.

She was checking out at the front counter when the man standing behind her suddenly tried to rip the purse off her shoulder. It was still hooked around her arm and she was thrown hard to the ground.

The man then started dragging her by the purse and hitting and biting her to try and make her let go.

He was eventually able to get her wallet and run off.

Police later found and charged him. He's now sitting in jail.

The woman is said to be okay.
