Durham's Quintiles merging with IMS Health

DURHAM (WTVD) -- Durham-based Quintiles says it will merge with IMS Health to become Quintiles IMS.

Quintiles uses information technology to help healthcare companies achieve better outcomes for patients. IMS Health has a similar mission.

The companies said the all-stock merger deal has a combined 2015 revenue of $7.2 billion.
