Suspect arrested in southeast Raleigh shooting

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Police have arrested a suspect after a man was shot on Middle Branch Road in southeast Raleigh Friday morning.

Officers got the call just after 8 a.m. The victim, 23-year-old Travis Malloy, was was found inside a minivan with a gunshot wound to the head. He was rushed to WakeMed, but officers have not released his condition.

RPD detectives arrested 25-year-old Anthony Darius Neal on Saturday. Neal is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police say a man was shot on Middle Branch Road in southeast Raleigh Friday morning.

Kedrick Daquane Thomas, 24, was also in the minivan but was not injured.
