3 shot outside Roanoke Rapids sports bar
ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. (WTVD) -- Police are investigating after three people were shot outside a Roanoke Rapids sports bar Saturday.
It happened around 1 a.m. outside Mir's Sports Bar and Grill on Julian Allsbrook Highway. Police initially received reports of one shooting victim who had been taken to the hospital in a private vehicle.
When officers went to the hospital to speak with the victim, they discovered three people had been shot. Two of the victims were treated and released. The third victim was taken to the trauma center with serious injuries.
Investigators said there was some sort of fight that broke out inside the bar that then spilled out into the parking lot.
Numerous shots were fired, striking the victims and several cars in the parking lot.
The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
