One killed in truck vs. car crash south of Fayetteville

PARKTON, North Carolina (WTVD) -- The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating after a person died early Friday morning in a crash involving a car and a tractor-trailer truck.

It happened around 6 a.m. on US-301, about a half-mile south of the Cumberland County line into Robeson County.

Pictures from the scene showed the car and the truck off the road in a field.
