Family, friends say goodbye to Rocky Mount High School student killed in crash

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WTVD) -- Family and friends gathered Saturday to say their goodbyes to a Rocky Mount High School student killed in a crash one week ago.

Tiara Hinton died instantly in the crash, which happened on U.S. Highway 64. Three of her friends survived.

Hinton's funeral was held Saturday afternoon at the high school.

She was on the school's basketball and volleyball teams, and was expected to graduate this year.
