Central NC schools decide on remote learning or early release for Friday | LIST

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for the Triangle as a system that could bring our first measurable snowfall heads to central North Carolina.

Some area school districts have made the call ahead of the storm, which is expected to arrive late Friday afternoon.

Wake County Public Schools: Closing 3 hours early
CHCCS Schools: Closing 2 hours Early
Johnston County Schools: Closing 3 hours early
Edgecombe County Schools: Closing 2 hours early
Franklin County Schools: Closing early
Granville County Schools: Closing early
Halifax County Schools: Closing early at noon
Harnett County Schools: Closing 2 hours early
Lee County Schools: Closing early
Nash County Public Schools: Closing early
Orange County Schools: Closing 3 hours early
Person County Schools: Closing 3 early
Sampson County Schools: Closing 2 hours early
Vance County Schools: Closing at 2 p.m.

How to report school closures

Due to the threat of inclement weather, some schools and businesses may decide to close. You can check up-to-the-minute closings here.

If you are in charge of closings for a school or business, the only way to report your organization's closing or delay to ABC11 is by using our online system. The phone system that was used in the past is not operational. Your ID code from the phone system remains the same and it also serves as your Pass Code into the online system.
