Nine Selma Middle School students were rewarded with new bikes by showing growth and proficiency on their end of grade tests.

Students in every grade level who met the performance criteria on their end of grade tests had their name placed in a drawing for the bikes.

Several area businesses, churches, and community members generously donated the nine bicycles to be awarded as prizes to the students.

Boys and girls from each grade level were selected to win a bike, as well as the student with the highest reading and math test scores in the school.

Fifth-grade students who won new bicycles were Luke Woodall, Shaynn Spencer, and Janashia O'Neal (high score winner). Sixth-grade students who won new bicycles were Julius Jones and Jade Hernandez Navarro. Seventh-grade students who won new bicycles were Deion Wright and Karelli Bojorquez-Armenta. Eighth grade students who won new bicycles were Sergio Parejo and Michell Terran-Herrara.
