CARY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Some families in Wake County decided to skip Monday's make-up day for traditional calendar students and start spring break instead.
A district spokeswoman told ABC11 that attendance for all students was well above 80-percent.
We're told about 15 percent of teachers were absent, but no schools reported teacher shortages.
Administrators from the central office are helping to fill some of those voids.
Students were forced to attend school three days this week to make up numerous snow days.
