First-grader competes in bee
A first-grader is competed in the National Spelling Bee for the first time

OXON HILL, Md. -- A boy from San Angelo, Texas is making history at the National Spelling Bee, despite misspelling a word.

That's because he's just 6 years old.

Akash Vukoti is the first first-grader ever to make to the National Spelling Bee. He started competing in spelling bees at age 2.

Akash was eliminated in round three yesterday, with the word, "bacteriolytic."
