Dump truck crash on Covered Bridge Road in Johnston County kills driver

ARCHER LODGE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A driver was killed in a crash involving a dump truck in Johnston County on Wednesday.

Chopper 11 was over the scene on Covered Bridge Road near Archer Lodge, where authorities say a dump truck flipped over. The driver died at the scene.

Officials have not released the driver’s identity or what led to the crash. No other vehicles were involved.
