Inmate escapes from Forsyth Correctional Center, authorities searching
Officials said Raymond Warren, 35, escaped from the facility.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WTVD) -- State correctional officers and local law enforcement agencies are searching for an inmate who escaped from Forsyth Correctional Center on Friday morning.
Officials said Raymond Warren, 35, escaped from the facility and remains at large.
Warren was serving a five-year sentence for two counts of larceny and was scheduled for release in 2028. Authorities described him as a white man with numerous tattoos on his face and neck. He is approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. Warren is from Davidson County.
The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction said it has launched an investigation into the escape.
