Durham police identify man in deadly shooting
Durham police are investigating a fatal shooting that left one man dead.
DURHAM, N.C. (WTVD) -- Durham police are investigating a fatal shooting that left one man dead on Thursday, August 6.
Nearly a week after the man died, police are releasing his identity.
Officers responded around 4:19 p.m. to a report of a person suffering from a gunshot wound. When they arrived in the area, police found an adult man with an injury in the 2500 block of Ross Road.
The man has been identified as 21-year-old Jamari Sharpe of Morrisville.
Sharpe was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Durham police are still investigating what led up to the deadly shooting.
