RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Raleigh police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian Saturday morning.
Officers responded around 3:09 a.m. to the 3300 block of Buffaloe Road for a reported crash. When they arrived, they found 32-year-old Detrick Arnold dead in the roadway.
Investigators say Arnold was in the road at the time of the crash, though it is unclear whether he was crossing or standing in the roadway. Police say a large SUV struck Arnold and left the scene, continuing outbound on Buffaloe Road.
Investigators say at least one additional vehicle then ran over Arnold after he was already in the roadway.
The crash remains under investigation.
