Zebulon Devil Dogz announces as new minor-league baseball team

ZEBULON, N.C. (WTVD) -- The Triangle’s newest minor league baseball team has officially been announced.

Officials held a news conference to reveal the name of Zebulon’s new Coastal Plain League baseball team: the Devil Dogz.

Zebulon town leaders are now focusing on the future of Five County Stadium. The Mudcats drew about 120,000 fans in 2024, providing an economic boost to the town, according to The Baseball Cube.

The new team begins play later this year, replacing the Mudcats in eastern Wake County.
