Police say teen death in Durham is suspicious

DURHAM, NC (WTVD) -- Police say the death of a teen in Durham on Tuesday is suspicious and they're asking for tips in the case.

Officers went to an "assist EMS" call in the 200 block of Stokes Street at 12:17 a.m. on Tuesday. When officers arrived, they found 18-year-old Alondra Gonzalez Mejia unresponsive in her room.

She was taken to the hospital, where she died later Tuesday.

Gonzalez was a student at Middle College High School at Durham Technical Community College.
